Vassili Karageorgis

Founder and President

Having studied political science and law in Paris as well as communication and literature in Athens, Vassili Karageorgis worked, notably, for an international law firm and for the Olympic movement.

At the 2004 Athens Games, he was editor-in-chief of the French-speaking content of the opening and closing ceremonies and of the the official website, responsible for its security and environment sections and co-editor of the Organising Committee’s executives’ speeches.

Afterwards he created polymeris.org a private, semi-official and trilingual (French, Greek and English) monthly newsletter still sent today to 55 cities around the world that aims at highlighting common priorities to the European Union, the UN and the International Olympic Committee.

In October 2022 and 2023, he posted two videos online pleading for an immediate end to the war in Ukraine which had several million views, appeared on the French national media and at the same time founded the Center for reflection and citizen mobilization for diplomatic action aka Citizens for diplomacy.
