Vassili Karageorgis

Former international relations, interactive media and strategic communications administrator for the olympic movement
Founder and chief editor of polymeris.org

After and while studying political sciences and law in Paris as well as communication and literature in Athens, Vassili Karageorgis worked, notably, for an international law firm and for the Olympic Movement.

Member of the International Relations Department of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, he then became the editor in chief of the French official Olympic Website managing the French content for the opening and closing ceremonies and the executives’ speeches. He was also in charge of the security and environment web pages in Greek, French and English.

Vassili went on to create polymeris.org, a trilingual (also in French, Greek and English) private monthly newsletter which reaches 55 cities in the world. It aims to highlight priorities shared by the European Union, the UN and the International Olympic Committee.

In October 2022 and 2023, he posted two videos online pleading for an immediate end to the war in Ukraine which attracted several million views. He then appeared on European media and founded “Citizens for diplomacy”, the Centre for reflection and citizen mobilization for diplomatic action.
